HOT CHOCOLATE!!! I've lived near Seattle for about 14 years & still have avoided their gourmet coffee, cappuchinos, lattes, etc. As always, I remain the non-conformist! DOWN WITH STARBUCK'S!!!

I also live in the espresso capital of the world and I have never drank a cup of coffee in my life. Put me down for hot chocolate!

Coke because caffeine is a requirement. But if I HAVE to choose between the two then Hot Chocolate. Coffee is evil.

Coffee. The sugar in hot chocolate will put ya to sleep, but the caffeine in coffee will energize ya!:D

But isnt sugar supposed to be a stimulant??

you know the whole "sugar rush" thing.

It's when the "rush" suddenly goes away that you get tired.

Also while on coffee, does anybody drink Planet Java??
The "Tremble" they make has over 120mh of cafeine, itll keep you awake for awhile.

Got to go with coffee, although I certainly enjoy hot chocolate as well. I do enjoy "regular" coffee and also gourmet coffees. Have a grinder for grinding the whole coffee beans even.

Last time I went to Houston, I went to a Starbuck's. I was standing in line, searching the menu for a cup of joe. Finally I saw "coffee of the day." I also noticed that I was the only blue collar guy in the Coffee Shop, I picked up my habit when I was in the Army. The people in line ahead of me were asking for strange things this coffee drinker had never heard of. What the hell is Mocha latte anyway? My turn came and I asked the clerk what the coffee of the day was? She replied Jamacan Breakfast something or other. "Oh, can I have a cup of regular coffee?" The clerk looked at me, like I was an idiot, as she pointed to the wall and said "There is the menu." Completely confused I then blurted out "Do you have anything that resembles a regular cup of coffee?" An eerie silence filled the shop. With all doubt removed, she said "We have the coffee of the day."

Well I used to work at Dunkin' Donuts, and I made some pretty interesting combinations. Among my favorite was hot chocolate and french vanilla coffee mixed together, with a little whipped cream on top MMMMMMM... I think I am going to go buy one now.

defunto, I'm with you on that one, at Dunkin' it was regular, decaf, french vanilla, or hazelnut, and that's it, none of this Jamaican Breakfast garbage, (nothing against Jamaicans).

Neither for me. A cold Dr. Pepper or Mountain Dew in the morning for me is my coffee.

Personally I would only drink hot chocolate in the winter months because it warms you up inside, however, in the summertime, the best drink would be powerade/gatorade, because it's something that quenches your thirst and won't overheat you when its like 95 degrees out with a lot of humidity. Just my .02.

I prefer a mixture of 1/2 French Vanilla coffee and 1/2 Dutch chocolate cocoa with 3 irish cream creamers. Mmmmm, good. Not to mention you get the instant sugar rush and the longer lasting effects of the caffeine in one tasty beverage.

Fire kila ,

IMO. Id have to disagree with you on that post, for one of them hot, humid days in the summer, i think icy cold bottled water is the best route to go..But if your having a ham and cheese sandwich, then put me down for gatorade to go along with it.

I among others that have posted in this thread live near Seattle! I do not like Starbucks, but I love coffee! I only drink hot chocolate after I have been sledding in the snow or at the races!

BTW English Toffee is WONDERFUL! just do not listen to their directions. Fill your cup full and pull it out before all of the water to weaken the taste kills the drink!:acop:
