I'm looking for a small lithium powered flashlight and I'm having a hard time choosing. I own a Surefire 8N and it is a greatlight but I'm stuck between choosing a Streamlight Scorpion or a Surefire G2 in nitrilon. Any help guys?
As an option, go to WalMart. They have a Brinkmann lithium-xenon flashlight for about $20. This even includes 2 lithium batteries, making the cost of the light about 10 bucks. It is comparable to my Scorpion in brightness. The nice part is for this kind of work if it is lost or broken, it is not a big loss.
Hope this helps,
Hogan
I have a G2 and like it a lot.
In fact, I bought them for many of my family members to keep in their vehicles, or as an emergency light for when the power goes out.
I think I paid around 27 bucks a pop for them.
I have not used the scorpion, or even know what they cost, but for the $$ I am happy with the G2.

I love Streamlight, I have both the Stinger XTHP, and for a backup a Strion they're both great flashlights and are durible (SP?) But, the only downside is they are expensive. I like the re-chargables because when i get done i just drop them in and they're fresh and ready to go next time I need them. Which in the even of a power outage I guess I'd be royaly screwed.... My opinion streamlight is the way to go.
I love the G2. Cheapest SureFire on the market. Now cheap is a relative term when it comes to SureFire, but they're cheap enough to buy a few and stash them in different places, in addition to carrying one on duty.

Thanks for the advice guys. I wound up buying the 6P at a local retailer. They were selling the 6P for $37, a deal so good I bought two.
