James K. Sullivan Jr.
James K. Sullivan Jr. died peacefully Aug. 25, 2005, surrounded by his greatest legacy, his family. On March 15, 1970, he became one of the founding members of the Prince William County Police Department. He served in the Operations and Criminal Investigation Divisions and rose from the rank of sergeant to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel, becoming deputy chief in Oct. 1988 where he served until his retirement in 1993. He has further served his community as an active member of Our Lady of Angels Catholic Church, a member of the Knights of Columbus, a member of the A.O.H., a lifetime member of the NRA, a member of FBINA Associates and a member of the Virginia Handgun Collector's Association.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the James Edward Fisher Memorial Trust, which supports the educational needs of the children of disabled or deceased police officers. Contributions may be sent to 6012 Omega Lane, Manassas, VA 20112.
