To all the USCS Hopefulls:
I hesitated to post this b/c, like many of you, I know how long I've waited (and suffered) to be able to do so. Nonetheless, today I was granted "the call" and will be headed to Miami, FL after 19 weeks of training at FLETC which begins on 10/10/2001 NLT midnight.
I have prowled the boards for many months and am grateful for all the information posted by everyone. I read the recent postings about possible calls going out this week with much skepticism but, I have been made a believer. Stay vigilant, everyone's time will come.
Another ally has been forged to all in the quest for an 1811 position. I must say, this has been a long time coming!
To all who may be wondering, my "call" was short and sweet..."Miami, FLETC 10/10, Yay or Nay?" NFD, NFI and yes, I was pretty much speechless. Rest assured, any further pertinent information will be forwarded to you all via this site ASAP...I do know what it's like to be in the wings.
FYI...my rough timeline is as follows:
Sept. 2000 - TEA (originally for ATF)
Nov./Dec. 2000 - Sent in scantron/NOR
Feb. 2001 - Rated eligible, sent in second round of paperwork
April 2001 - References contacted
May 2001 - Physical
June 2001 - Structured Interview
August 2001 - Background Investigation conducted/completed,
3-4 week turnaround.
Again, good luck to everyone!!!
