Beretta Storm?

Anyone familiar with the Barretta Storm PX4, pistol? Pro's, Con's?

I've examined both at trade shows. I have not fired either, but they looked OK. That said, many things look great at trade shows and go tango uniform on the range or, worse, on the streets.

I am told that Maryland State Police and one of the larger Maryland sheriff's offices are transitioning to the pistol. I imagine we'll see how it shakes out in the near future.

The carbine seemed like a neat little toy, but I'm not sure why Beretta is bringing out a pistol-calibre weapon when most agencies are opting for 5.56/.223 rifle calibre carbines. Nonetheless, I really liked the carbine. If I were forced to use a pistol calibre shoulder weapon, I'd seriously examine the Beretta Storm. It seemed a whole lot simpler and easier to clean than the AR-15 (and many pistol-calibre AR-15's seem problematic).
