I work for Miami PD, and our qualification course is based on the FL standard. we are required to fire from the following distances:
25 yds 3 out of 6 minimum
15 yds 18 rds with a mandatory magazine swap
7 yds 15 rds
3 yds 12 rds (includes 6 rds hip shooting)
Two targets are used side by side with time limits during the stages.
a passing score is 39 out of 48. How does this match up with FLETC or the individual federal agencies? I'm looking to go federal and would like to have an idea what to expect (in the current process with ICE).
Thanks guys.

I really do not think you will have a problem. Individuals have showed up at FLETC and could not hit a barn, but with a little instruction qualified.

FLETC is 300 possible points on the 5 point bowling pin target. Total of 60 shots. The 15 and 25 are both barricaded, with the 15 being left and right kneeling barricaded, and the 25 being standing barricaded, and drawing while moving behind cover. I forget how many shots it was from the 15 and 25. The 7 yard line is standard business, one tactical reload, one emergency reload, mixed in with body armor drills (2 to body/2 to head), standard body shots, and one handed strong hand and one handed weak hand. We also did the 3 yard line and the 1 1/2 yard line one handed from the hip as well. It has been a while, but I think that was it. You need a 210 to qualify in CITP, with your prior LE it should not be a problem. ATF is 240 minimum to qualify in CITP.
Additionally, if you are a weaver or modified Weaver shooter, be prepared to change your stance. They will be all over you if you try to use any other stance. They also force the "two-thumbs forward" grip down your throat as well. They say they will also let you use "thumb over thumb grip", but they still gripe about that. Like they say, it's not Burger King, so you cant have it your way". I had to break a few bad habits myself.

Unless things have changed in the last 6 months, FLETC uses the Transtar II target.
Unless you are blind or have some sort of neurological disorder that causes severe tromors, you should have no problems passing that course of fire.

Add ICE to the 240 minimum qual club.

You also have to remember that FLETC has differrent quals than ICE SAT. If you get picked up by ICE you'll have to qualify under FLETC standards and then when you go to agency specific school (ICE), you'll have to qualify under a new set of standards. ICE quals are out of a possible 250 max. :2gun:

If I'm not mistaken minimum for us (ICE) is 205 out of 250 max...............but yeah, unless you're blind, drunk or wet your bed at night just thinking about holding a fiream, you'll be alright........... :)

Nah, the FLETC standard is still 210.

ICE has a qual standard of 240 out if 300 during CITP (same as ATF) and 200 out of 250 during ICESAT.

I stand corrected............
Does anyone know what the ICE SAT course of fire involves?

USSS requires a 240 as well.
Hunter
The ICE course of fire consists of 50 rounds, and is conducted at distances of: 1.5, 3, 7, 15, and 25 yards.
It includes portions of strong hand only/weak hand only shooting, timed reloads, standing, kneeling, use of barricade, movement to cover, and drug/armor drills (failure drills).
The times aren't terribly demanding, but it is very different then the FLETC course. FLETC requires a minimum of 70% to pass. ICE requires 80%. The targets are also different.

So are they teaching the isosceles stance at FLTEC?
No. FLETC firearms calls it a "Combat" Stance, though there is a person's name associated with it that I can't recall right now.
