Dumb question...I just bought a lace in boot zipper by Danner for my Danner Strikers. I am having a serious brain fart and can't figure out how to lace them through properly. Does anyone out there know how to do it?

can't you cross the laces UNDER the zipper? I'd assumed that's how it worked...

I start with the lace through the bottom hole on one side of the boot, through the bottom of the zipper and back out the other side of the boot. Make the lace even length on each side, like you are about to start lacing a normal boot. Then just stitch your way up each side of the zipper (zipper-boot-zipper-boot...). Don't cross over, that would defeat the purpose of the zipper. Once you get to the top, slip the boot on your foot and with the zipper closed tighten the laces to comfort. Now tie them off on each side. You should be able to unzip and slip the boot right off.

I find I have to tighten the laces once in a while, especially when they are new.

Good luck!
