What do you recommend for wearing under the uniform to stay warm on nights? Right now I wear t-shirt, vest, long sleeve mock t-neck and long sleeve uniform, but it still gets cold out on long traffic stops and calls for service.

Thanks

Under armour cold gear. The leggings are the greatest things ever, I like the longsleeves too.

What do you have for a uniform coat?

We currently have a very nice goretex waistcut jacket with a removable liner. I just feel more comfortable without a jacket for ease of getting to my equipment. I am going to try the duofold double layer undershirts and the polartec midweight undershirts as well.

I have used the Duofold undershirt and underpants in my uniformed days. I liked them very much. They were not super warm, but I found they did a very good job for such a thin layer. UnderArmour was not around then, so I can't give you a comparison. Like you, I hated wearing a jacket in the winter because it limited my access to my duty belt, so I was always layering to get warm. I used the Duofold undies for several years.
