Im not sure where to ask this but my husband wants a gun for christmas, I want to get it for him but I know nothing about guns and I dont want to ask him b/c its suppose to be a suprise. I do know that he wants a Glock but I dont know how many different kinds they have I have never purchased a gun before. If anyone could help me out I would really appericate it.
Thanks,

InTraining,

I know you want the gift to be a suprise, but I think you'd probably be better off to have him around when you make the purchase. How about you print out a picture of a Glock and wrap that up or put it in a card. When he opens it up, you can explain that you are buying him a gun for Christmas, and that he can choose any Glock he'd like. Or you can check with your local gun shops to find out who has gift certificates available.

Some folks are very picky about their weapons. I'm sure he'd definitely appreciate your thought, but if he wants a .40 and you get him a 9mm, it's not quite the same. Let him pick--he'll not be any less suprised for it.

Buy a toy gun and wrap it with a note redeemable for the real weapon of his choice...even trade.

I agree with the above. Also, it's not really a good idea to have a real gun under the x-mas tree.

Those are great suggestions because you can't return the gun once you've walked out of the store. Guns and ammunition are non-returnable.
