Just a friendly reminder to the "new guys" out there; with it getting colder and gloves becoming more common on the street, make sure you can work that firearm wearing your duty gloves! With so much choice available in gloves for duty use, make sure you try before you buy.

I had a new guy the other week who had these huge gloves that surely kept his fingers warm and toasty but when it came down to it, he could not get his gloved finger in the trigger guard... a bad thing.

Thought came to me tonight with our first real snow up here in DC, got about 3 inches... god I miss the tropics!

I've haven't tried my issued gloves, yet. It hasn't gotten that cold here in PHX. Still waiting for the snow...

Both Hatch and Damascus make winter gloves that have special trigger finger slots to accomadate a handgun/rifle.

Good luck,

I recommend the Damascus sub zero gloves. Warm and still can shoot a perfect qual!
