When I was in high school I smoked grass several times during my junior year and part of my senior year. After my 18th birthday I did a few more times I think it was less than 10-20x. I really don't remember. I decided it was stupid and I haven't done it since I was 21 or 22. I never touched any hard drugs, I never ever wanted anything to do with hard crap. I am 25 now and only recently decided I may like to go into law enforcement. By the time I am done with college and start applying I will be 27 so it will be a solid 5-6 years since I used MJ. What kind of problems might I run into? Should I think about a different line of work? Thanks.

In my opinion, and it depends on the department, it may be viewed as more than experimental (20X). The good thing is it will be 5 or 6 years behind you before you apply. Most departments want atleast 3-5 years without any use. Again, it depends on the department. Good luck to you!

Thanks Dan. What can I say, I was a dumb kid. Now I am married with kids and grown up quite a bit since then. Thankfully I never got involved with hard drugs or any kind of law breaking. It's weird to look back and wonder why we did some things when we were younger. Anyhow thanks for your reply.

You should be fine. I know of people with similar situations, that have made into law enforcement. The fact that you now have a family will be a major plus!! Just stay clean, and apply to many departments. Like the previous post said, all Depts have different policies but either way you should be able to get on somewhere. Hey we are only human, and humans are not perfect, and that is taken into consideration. Good luck;)
