APD Officer James J. Dwyer lost his battle with a rare form of cancer last week. He was diagnosed with the same type that killed some of his other direct family members. He lived 33 good years. A finer person you would not meet; even during the bad times of chemo and radiation he always had a smile and positive word for whomever he would run into. He continued working right up until the end. He was a black belt, triathlete, bagpiper, motorcycle cop, and husband.
