A couple of weeks ago I was doing my usual patrol of the city. I'm driving up main street and come to an intersection. Looking off to the right I see a small fire on the front porch of a home. Being about 0100 hrs, not something you'd be normally accustomed to seeing. I call out and get out of the car as a woman comes outside onto the porch. I asked her if she had happened to set the porch on fire (not an unusual question in this neck of the woods). She runs into the house and returns with some water and throws it onto the fire. Fire extinguished, no damages. I write a report and then collect the evidence. Short inspection reveals a bag of horse/cow etc droppings! Seems the man of the house told his wife earlier in the past evening he wanted a divorce. She collects her boyfriend and another guy, drive out into the country, collect the material and then wait for the opportune time. Boyfriend knocks on the door while his buddy ignites the package and throws it up on the porch. Wifeypoo is waiting down the block! And holloween is only a month away!!
