View Full Version : Good Movies
Anybody see any good movies lately? Either theater or rental.
The wife and I saw The Others, and rented Hannibal last weekend.
The Others was good, although my wife figured out the movie twist early (she should be a detective).
Hannibal was alright, Jodie Foster makes a better Agent and it was little slow but I enjoyed the brain part.
I hope to see Zoolander sometime, I feel like I could really go for a comedy.
So anybody see anything good lately?

The movie Tomcats out on video is really funny.
I rented Hannibal a few weeks ago, I was not impressed at all! I thought the whole first hour and a half was pretty boring, the brain part was pretty cool though.

Just saw Jay and Silent Bob Strike back. Good comedy. Plus they are JerseyBoy's!
Now that we have a DVD player, my fiancee and I have been renting alot of movies. I would say that the Insider with Al PAcino and Russell Crowe is a very good movie. We saw Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon and Traffic which were also very good. I also saw Enemy at the Gates. Not bad, but not what I expected the movie to be.

The wife and I just rented The Mexican and Hanibal. I liked bothe actually. I think my wife especially liked The Mexican because of Brad Pitt.....What a DORK.......
I really liked Hanibal. I thought is was a little less action packed than the first one. However, the sequal kept me interested. Oh yea, the brain part rocked.
I would have to say the absolute best movie I have ever seen was Road Trip!
I'm in a need of a laugh so a group of us are going to go see Zoolander tonight. It sort of looks corny but what the heck!
Oh and before I forget...sort of an eerie movie right now but really well done nonetheless is 13 Days with Kevin Costner. The other one he was in that is out on vid is 3000 Miles to Graceland also a great movie! Guess I have been in a Kevin Costner mood lately. I have yet to see The Mexican because all I can do is sit and mentally undress Brad Pitt (not a dork! :) ) while I am watching the movie.

I just saw Training Day with Denzel Washington. I have been a big fan of his movies, but this is his first as a "bad guy", so it's kind of weird watching it. It's definelty no Remember the Titans or The Hurricane. At times I thought he was even a bit psycho. I liked it, I guess because I want to move to Los Angeles.

I highly recommend " O Brother were art thou" I think I spelled it correctly.

I just rented "Along Came a Spider," starring Morgan Freeman and Monica Potter (she's a hottie -- she was Cage's wife in "Con Air"). Very good at testing your detective abilities. A bit short, but definitely worth watching. I am even going to buy it (and I don't buy many movies).
I am also going to buy "13 Days."
Need to see "Road Trip" yet, along with "Training Day."
Stay safe, all...

I saw the movie Frequency yesterday. I wasn't quite sure it would be something I'd enjoy from initial look. One of the guys at work brought it for me to see. It was excellent. I watched it on DVD and there's additional footage that was not used. Overall, it was great.
Have a great day!

comedy - Office Space
drama - Heat, Saving Private Ryan
favorite movie of all time - not released yet - Blackhawk Down
I just saw Joyride last night. I know it seems like another ordinary teen thriller, but it wasn't bad, it was pretty unique. It didn't have many predictable scenes like you would normally expect. Overall it is a good flick!
I just saw "Snatch" the other night. I didn't think I'd like it but it was fantastic. It reminded me a little of Pulp Fiction.
