Any suggestions on a good passenger seat organizer and/or trunk organizer?

I've got an Uncle Mike's duty bag that I put everything in that I use. Inside that bag I've got a pretty nice folder/organizer that I picked up at Wal-Mart for about $15 that has about 13 separate pockets for different forms. There are also two additional areas inside the organizer that give me space to put pens, pencils, ruler, etc, and the other I use for my false alarm notices, Criminal Trespass cards, and other like smaller documents. I've shied away from a seat organizer because if I haul a prisoner, most of the time he's going in the passenger seat of the car, and the bag is easy enough to pick up and move. As for trunks--there's very little room in some of our squad's trunks once the cones, flares, and other stuff that's back there get in the way.

I second the bag. The front pockets make good cup holders if you like to drink bottles of pop, or even the 32 oz cup from Super america fits in there... Also picked up the organizer mines 5 pocket though, and has all the papers i'll need in it. Our trunks have 2 large tubs in them, and special clear boxes on either side that hold flares, flexcuffs, and a fire extingusher. Also if you want to keep things like Hobbles, spit masks or crime scene stuff (baggies etc) get a plano type plastic box (the kind where you can take the top tray all the way out)

I have a seat organizer from Galls... worked without it for a while and now I appreciate having it. We have to load and unloads bags o' junk for each shift, so it's easy for me to throw the thing around the passenger headrest, and everything's already at arm's reach.... and I never have a prisoner in the front, so I don't have the space issue :o

Because I was given a G-ride with no center console (!), I bought an organizer online from Duluth Trading Co. They have the traditional organizers that hang on the passenger seat like Gall's has, but mine is more of a squarish-shaped "box" that fits in front of the seat. It has moveable dividers so you can change the shape of each compartment. You can also put it on the seat if you wish, and there's a slot to pass the seat belt through the back to keep it there.

If you're not familiar with them, Duluth Trading's items are made of what they call "fire hose cloth" or something like that - they're made of fabric, but extremely tough - tougher than just about any ballistic nylon I've ever used, save the extremely high-denier items.

I think he means bottles of soda. :)

I actually prefer the Gall's nylon seat organizer to the molded plastic. You can fit more in the nylon bag and it allows me to place a small file box where I can organize forms in separate hanging file folders. Pretty cool.

I use a standard duty bag which has plenty of room for my files and my jacket etc so i can grab it quickly. I usually loop the bag strap over the seat head rest to keep it secure. And btw its POP, not this soda nonsense Quantum.:D

I have an Uncle Mike's organizer that hangs on the front of the passenger seat. I really like it. It holds a clipboard, my Thomas guide, maps, business cards, a fire extinguisher, my handheld, some binos, and a pile of other crap that I keep accumulating. I think it only cost $20.00.

No, he meant bottles of coke. :)

to clarify I meant bottles of pop. They're known in the deep south as "coke" and in other regions as "soda" but here in the midwest they're reffered to by their proper nickname Pop

Pop, soda, coke, soft drink, carbonated beverage, liquid refreshment with a fizzy-like substance...it's all the same. I happen to like Propel by Gatorade.
