View Full Version : MEPS physical part II
I just took my med exam for the marine corp officer program and I breezed through everything except for one thing. 7 years ago when i was 24, I broke my ankle and had a bolt in it to set it. The bolt was removed 2 months later and it has been out for almost 7 years. they made me get an x ray of it and tomorrow I have to go back so then can do some tests on it, range of motion, flexibility, etc. i run on it every day and i have not had any pain associated with this injury at all. i am nervous about tomorrow, like i might be dq'd..some of the people there said its not a big deal, am I making it into more than i should?

I don't think you have anything to worry about. Just tell the Doc that you run everyday with no pain and it should be fine as long as the X-Ray comes out ok. 9 times out of 10 the Doc will take your word for it. Only you know how your ankle feels. Good luck and don't stress over it.

With the MEPS medical business, it's difficult to speculate on how they're going to look at your situation. If the bolt has been removed and you haven't had further difficulties, it's going to boil down to the results of the examination. The X rays and your discussion with the specialist will tell the story.
Have a great day!
