hello all. just wanted to update everyone on my progess in the academy and in general.
well my final two weeks before my transfer were spent securing the united states custom house at bowling green in new york city. and yes i was their when the planes hit. i was actually just getting off duty, my shift ends at 0800 and i changed out of my uniform and headed out on west street and about 10 minutes after i passed the trade center the first plane hit. i spent the remaining days working overtime protecting our federal building and talking with rescue workers, other federal officers, military, and NYPD about the tragedy. i wish i could of done more.
as for my new transfer, i am currently in the regional police academy with the department of defense. our class is 28 strong and we have another 30 due to start in a few weeks. my group is currently at the range working with the berretta 92F. so far i have qualified on the first portion of firearms training.
god bless everyone and i will keep you all posted on my future progress. let's all stay strong during this crisis!
