I've worn a sam-browne style belt for 5 years now, it's still in great shape, and doing well pulling double duty (two places I use it at) anywho I'm looking at switching to Velcro Style, does anyone know a good brand of belt (s) since I'll need two one for the pants and one for the equipment.
Also any good places to buy them at on the net if you'd pm those'd be great thanks.

They're ok. I had a bianchi set but the velcro wears off after a while. So I went to using a 5.11 operator tactical belt for my pants and my sam browne.
I have a Safariland duty belt and a Blackhawk velcro belt. The problem with this set-up was that very little of the "hook" part of the Safariland belt mated up with the "loop" part of the Blackhawk belt due to all of the gear. I added strips of strong adhesive backed "hook" strips to the holster, cuff case, mags, but this would only come off. I also noticed that getting in and out of a vehicle caused the back of the belt to get jacked up and separated from the velcro.
While on and off is a lot easier (especially for 10-6 P) with the velcro belt set-up, keepers are still the way to go.

It sounds like sticking to the sam browne may be the easyer option... thanks
I use a Safariland velcro set-up, and the only complaint I have with it is that the inner belt gets warped and jacked and mine is starting to become threadbare. It still works perfectly fine, and it's easy enough to replace that belt at low cost. And if you don't want to use the velcro inner-belt, you can use any other belt just as easily, as long as you've got the keepers. That being said, I agree that keepers are still the way to go, regardless of which rig you use. You don't want to be fighting somebody and reach back for handcuffs or anything else only to realize that your belt is 15 feet away where it fell off in the scuffle.
