Not necessarily just for DSS and USSS Agents/Officers,
Was wondering what you all wear for shoes/boots and sole inserts. My agency does a lot of similar work (i.e. standing posts, roving patrols, etc.) in addition to other law enforcement duties. A lot of the ground we cover is inside and on concrete, marble, etc. I've noticed a lot of the guys that have been on for 10 years or more all seem to have some sort of problems with their back, knees, hips, or ankles. I don't plan on ending up like them (and I want to stay healthy enough for the Feds) so I was wondering what you all do to combat "standing injuries"?
On a related note, what kind of workout routines do you follow? Since I'm paranoid about the real or imagined toll my work duties are putting on my joints, I tend to focus more on the non-impact aerobic activities, ie elliptical trainer and biking.
thanks
