I tried doing a search but had no luck. Has anyone used Whelen’s hide-a-way universal LED systems? If so do they work well, have good visibility? It looks like it is a replacement for the hide-a-way strobe system.

Wow, very nice, definitely brighter with less power draw. I have seen the LED light bars and they are really bright even during the day. Thanks for the link.

No problem. I missed the rule about not posting commercial links. Do a Google search and you will find more information from the manufacturer regarding this product.

I had read the literature but was curios about the visibility/brightness of the LEDs versus the strobes which the video clip showed very well. A few years ago I saw a Honolulu PD motorcycle on H1 with LED lights. It was really bright even though it was some distance away, there was no way you could miss it. Thanks for the link.

If you have the cash, go with the HAW LEDS. I have seen them in person and they are much brighter compared to strobe LEDS, especially at greater distances. Just remember if puting them in tail lights, use red behind red lenses. Alot of people make the mistake of using a clear LED behind a red lense (which you do for strobe HAWS), but the red behind red for LEDs is actually brighter. The car I saw had red behind the brake lights and blue in the clear reverse lights. It was really attention getting.
