CPD officer found dead in car

A Clarksville Police Department officer was found dead in his car Thursday, according to CPD spokeswoman Sgt. Cheryl Anderson.
Anderson wrote in a press release that Officer Terry Jacoby "reported to work, responded to calls for service and interacted with his co-workers" but when he didn't return to headquarters after the end of his shift, other officers began to search for him.
He was found dead in his vehicle, she wrote.
The department investigates all unattended deaths, but as Jacoby was an officer with the department, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigations was asked to conduct the investigation, she wrote.
