Pueblo Police Officer Collapses On The Job And Dies

Members of the Pueblo Police Department are shocked after hearing news one of their fellow officers collapsed and died while breaking up a series of disturbances in downtown Pueblo.
30-year-old Nicholas K. Heine passed away Saturday morning at Parkview Medical Center.
Chief Jim Billings announced a period of mourning that will continue through midnight the day of the funeral. Flags will be flown at half staff.
Details on the funeral service have not been announced.
Heine served the Pueblo Police Department for 7 years. He leaves behind a wife, two children and a mother who is also a Pueblo police officer.
