Kansas Highway Patrol

Does anyone out there know anything about the Kansas Highway Patrol? Is it a good agency with good benefits and such? Would it actually be a worthwhile attempt or should I not even try? As always, I would appreciate any input that anyone might have. Thank you.

Good agency with an excellent reputation. Benefits are comparable to many other state agencies. Pay kinda sucks. Check out their website.

Well, the test is on January 19 and it looks like I am going to drive the 900 miles to get there. I've done a little more research and I think that KHP is an excellant department to work for. I would be nice to get away from the snow and cold weather. If anyone else has anymore insight or advice I would appreciate it. If anyone else is testing see you there.

Not to ruin your day, but you won't be getting away from any snow or cold weather. Maybe the snow for now, but it's plenty cold in Kansas!!!!
