Leave off the Dep. and just use your 1st & middle initial and last name. Anyone should be able to tell you're a Deputy. Besides, I think Dep or even Deputy on a name tag looks weird.

Why not just put your last name on your name tag? I personally dont want folks knowing my first intial and then my last name.

Your department doesn't buy your nametag? I would go with your last name. if you want go with any combo of your first and middle initials and your last name. I would leave the deputy off people will kinda get the clue when they see you in uniform.

Personally, I prefer just my last name on my name tag. Everyone knows that I am with the police dept when I arrive. You don't need to take up space to signify Dep., Ofcr. etc.

I would say only use your last name..........I wouldn't want some scum bad knowing my last name and first initial........just something else for him to look up and try to find me

I'm forced to wear one with my first two initials and my last name.

"Damn, LT, I must have lost it again..."

It must be nice to have a choice! I'm a Deputy w/no choice, Dept. issue name tag, first & middle initial w/last name, whether you like it or not:p
