I have been looking at the practical/tactical model.
This is the model 35 in 40 cal.
Is anyone carrying this as a duty weapon?
I am considering trading my glock 23 for a new 35.
Any comments or suggestions about this gun?
Thanks

Before you do that I suggest that you look to see who makes a duty holster for the Glock 35. I did a quick check and couldn't find one anywhere. Also think about clearing leather with that long-slide if you can even find a holster. What do you expect to gain by switching? Do you need the small amount of accuracy that the 35 has over the 23? How are you going to conceal that long-slide in plainclothes? I think the 35 is a great pistol for the SWAT team but for regular duty carry it has more limitations than advantages.

Kels,
The only agency that I know of that issues the G35 is Kerrville Texas PD. There was an article on them in the Glock Autopistol magazine a year or two ago. I know that Safariland has a duty holster for the G35. I am not for sure what level of retention it has, but it was mentioned in the article that Kerrville issues that holster for the G35.
