The Good Guys Win (Again)!!

Around 0105 this morning, my beat SGT makes a traffic stop on a suspected DUI. Three subjects in car and yes, the odor of alcohol is present. Subject #1 (driver) comes out of the car and is determined not to be DUI. #3 comes out of the car (intoxicated) but happy to be there. #2 comes out of the car, SGT observes small plastic bag immediately where #2 is seated. Initial observation indicates possible crack. #1 & #3 relatively cooperative and provide ID. #2 says he doesn't have any and provides false name. (Note to bad guy: When you give false name, use another last name and not own) SGT informs #2 he's under arrest and the fight is on. I join in the fun and SGT gives me the word to spray him. (Note to self: Nozzle should face subject)!! Long story short, 3 go to jail, I'm pretty good at finding a water hose on short notice, SGT gets a couple days off for a broken finger, torn pants, new mag pouch and banged up knees! I've got a scratch on my hand and long after decon and a cold shower, significant burning on right hand and left forearm! (Note to subject #2: Hard to run with eyes closed)! (Note to self: Keep mouth closed when using OC, EVERYTHING still taste like cayene pepper)!!

Charges: #1 Public Intoxication, Unlawful possession Schedule IV, Unlawful possession prescription drugs.

#3 Same as #1.

#2 Same as #1 & 3, Resisting Arrest, Criminal Impersonation, Evading, Assault on an Officer, Destruction of Government Property, Failure to Run with eyes open and Whinning like a Baby!

Last note to subject #2: When you fight the police, ensure you pick friends who don't only want to spectate!!!

Yeah, if you really want to hurt an OC'd prisoner don't tell them to lean forward while in the shower in the jail...that should provide nice entertainment for the next few hours in book-in.

Enough with the injuries to the good guys, what injuries did suspect 2 suffer during your stuggle with him??;)

Roscoe's been around long enough to know how to decon! Real cops don't get OC in the more sensitive places. As far as subject #2, aside from the effects of OC and some roadrash from falling to the ground on his own, no injuries that I'm aware of. Though he wasn't acting like a civilized citizen, we didn't use anything but necessary force within established guidelines. I did hear that his final words to my partner were words to the effect "That Old Son of a Bitch will never have to spray me with that "Sh--" again!
