What in the hell is going on with my Fighting Irish football team. Is it me or could the fighting rainbows of hawaii come to irish land and beat them up??? What that college needs to do is take Davies and kick his worthless butt out on the street. I will come down there personally and give him a swift kick to his rump.

Who watched them play Michigan State? What kind of play was that at the end of the game to attempt a trick field goal. First of all why would they do a field goal anyhow, they still wouldn't of won the game, so what does that mean, a FAKE FIELD GOAL is coming. So what do they do, they hand the ball to the running back. And where does he go, right up the middle when he has that whole end wide open. What a bunch of freaks.

They need to get rid of Davie, but let us all just hope they wait until he plays Michigan a few times. If there's one team I like to see kicked when they're down, it is ND.

I'm still pissed at Ohio State for getting rid of Cooper. He was Michigans 12th man!!! We owned that guy. Who knows what will happen with this nerd for a coach they have now.

Let's hope that Al Davis will give John Gruden what he deserves, and that is his chance to coach his " DREAM TEAM"!!!! Even though he has something in " DA RAIDERS", I bet you that if given the opportunity, he would jump to the Irish. Let me know what you think about that.

I think Gruden would be a great addition to the team. Who knows if that will happen though. But let me tell you what, it wouldn't take much of a coach to replace Davies. Some of the plays that he runs is so frickin stupid. I think what it all comes down to is that we and especially I got spoiled with Holtz. We all know that Holtz got forced out of the irish job and now I hope Notre Dame is happy with their decisions now. Look what he is doing for South Carolina, it is amazing. Really I have no idea who will be the next coach and personally I don't have a lot if ideas who could take over. So we will anxiously see. I will definetly have a heart attack though if they don't throw Davies ass to the curb after this year and I am only 22.

The only reason I watch the Irish is to see them lose. It's great to see great recruiting classes, one after another, fail to produce at "Underachieving U". It's obviously a coaching problem, and your next coach will be..................................... Barry Alvarez from Wisconsin, mark my word. Go Hawkeyes-Bowl Game and Final Four!!!!

I hope not to see Mariucci get that job. I think he is a waste of time..

I heard that Gruden said "NO".

The Raiders are on the top of their division and he does not want any distractions right now.

By the way, "GO SAINTS"

Steve Mariucchi (sp?) is also a no. At one time, people would be knocking down doors to get this job. There's way too much pressure to win.

Who is that african amercian college coach?? I cannot remember what team he coaches for but I heard he is a real strong canditate.... What they need to do is offer Holtz his jobback with a HUGE money deal and we would be all set again and they would be winning all over. BUT THAT WOULD EVER HAPPEN... GOSh they are so pathetic.....

I saw somewhere that O'leary (sp) got the job. Define ironinc: A name like O'leary coaching a team named the "Fighting Irish". I bet the Alumni liked that.

Next week on the pro front:
Saints v Rams Monday Night Football.

Go Saints!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think they need to pick up that Stanford coach. I think he would turn the program around to where they could be back in the running for the championships.... GO IRISH Or another good pick for them would be coach Nick Saban, the old Michigan State coach. MSU never appreciated or respected what coach Saban did for that ball league. So we wil see what happens. But I think we will be seeing the Stanford coach get picked up on this deal. I just can't believe how much money they still have to pay worthless Davies for the rest of his contract. Davies should be paying the college that money for making that ball team be so embarrassed.

SO MO TROOPER, you will be truly sadened when the Irish pick it back up and give it to every team that comes in front of them. ha ha ha..

What do you guys think about the Lions winning there first game of the year? Pretty sad isn't it that it took them that long to win it? Say good bye to that goof ball of a coach. see ya guys and be safe out there..

An so help me, if the Irish pick up the Lions coach then I am going to be one pissed off boy.

Two words: Lou Holtz.

I guess there is interest on both sides, although a long shot - should make for interesting speculation.

I believe I called the idea out earlier in this post about Holtz returning. But if this happens I will be very shocked. Holtz is the type of person to turn this job down in a second. We all know that he was forced out of that job when he left. So I see no reason why he would want to come back to the Irish.. But I WOULD love to see him back but I think he is too hardnosed to give in and tell the Irish that he going to come back..
