Naval Reserve Intelligence Program

Has anybody ever heard of the NRIP Program (Naval REserve Intelligence Program)? I came across it the other day. If there is anybody out there with any concrete information I would be most appreciative.

I know of one individual who was commissioned under this program, and from what I understand, it is extremely competetive. An advanced degree and fluency in a critically needed language are big pluses. If you can make the cut, it sounds like a pretty sweet deal.
