View Full Version : Battery for Lazer Max Lazer sight.
Need to find a battery for my lazer Max lazer for a P226. It died last week and I'm not sure if I can find it other then going through Lazer Max.

Hi, I also have the lasermax sight in my gun. When I talked to lasermax about replacement batteries, they had them for sale, but the rep also told me if I was in a pinch, or decided to buy them somewhere else, they were simply hearing aid batteries. They shrink wrap those batteries together to keep them neat when they sell them, but that battery stick is actually made up of 5 or so smaller hearing aid batteries.
Peel it open and you can see the model number on the top of the battery. If you can't, go to a drug store or Wal-Mart and have them match the battery in the book and buy them there if they are cheaper.
If you can't get the battery #, let me know and I'll open up my old battery pack and get it for you.
Hope that helps.

Your right on the money and I talked to the guy that gave me the Lazer and he said the same. No need to take the shrink wrap off it's on the POS end of the stack and it's #393 (four batterys). I have yet to find the time to contact Lazer max but since I don't need it ASAP I'm going to go through them. When I get a price I will let you know, Did you end up getting yours at the local drug store or through Laser Max?
Thanks for the reply.

Actually I purchased I think 3 spare battery packs when I got my Lasermax. The main reason I did this was I knew I would burn through the first two pretty quickly. I was showing it off to everyone at work, and of course they all have to hold it and try it and at the range it was the same. I went through the first one pretty quick, but the 2nd one last a bit over a year. I'm on my 3rd one now. I have been working days for so long that it hasn't been much use, but when I was on Graveyard, I had used it quite a bit.
It's really a toy and extra for the gun, although it did affect many of the suspects at night that I pointed it at. Seemed to be a good tool to get some compliance.
Good luck!

I thought I would have the same problem but I only told a few that I had it so I never had to have everyone and there mothers play with it. What happen with mine was while transfering from one state to another it got turned on(no idea how but I might have left it on when I last touched it). I called and I have two packs being sent to me but I'm going to try buying four batterys at the local Wal-mart and see if it will really work. Your right Kahuna it is just a toy and should be treated as such but the mind games it plays in the street are very helpful. Thanks for the help and good luck with yours.
