Hi Everyone,
I was wondering if anyone on the board knows how the process works for becoming an USAF Officer in the AFOSI? I searched the website and was not able to get any 'real' information. I am a college graduate and was wondering if I could get AFOSI Special Agent job then then go to OCS? I was told the USAF will inform you of your job prior to having to sign the paperwork? Does anyone know for sure if that is true? Also any idea if I apply to OCS and list AFOSI as my first choice or must I apply through AFOSI then then if accepted apply to OCS? Thanks to anyone that can help! I do plan to speak with a recruiter after Turkey day, but any help from you guys would be wonderful! Thanks Again, -CK

Make sure it's a recruiter for officers. An enlisted recruiter for the most part is just going to try to get you to enlist. If you have trouble locating one, try calling an AFROTC unit at some university and ask them to point you in the right direction. (Talk to one of the officers, not the secretary)

Hope this helps.

Don't forget that AFOSI also recruits civilian agents.

Hi FL Boy and Doc,
Thanks for the info. I will make sure I'm speaking with an OCS recruiter when I am ready to ask questions about the program.
Doc- I am aware they also hire civilians, in fact I just came from an interview. I was so impressed with the department I was thinking of possibly going for an officer position if I'm not offered a civilian job. Thanks again and stay safe. Anyone with any other info please let me know! -CK
