View Full Version : Human Source Intelligence Officer (USMC))
Does anyone have info on this MOS?
It looks like a good one if your looking to go into Fed. L.E.
(lots of good schools and experience from what I read...)
So if anybody has any info, that would be cool.
Thanks

I am a CI Agent in the USMC (the enlisted version of HUMINT Officers)
0204's basically serve as platoon commanders for Counterintelligence platoons. They go to the same course as we do but they are rarely allowed to do actual operations. Good chance for schools and what not, but only about 1% of folks at TBS actaully get the 0204 MOS and everybody wants it. that is because most of the slots for CI/HUMINT ops are taken up by Enlisted guys and Warrant Officers. Great MOS if you want to break into Counterintelligence or Counterterrorism, not so great if you want to do actual law enforcement. We don't put hand cuffs on bad guys. We talk to bad guys to provide us info.
Good luck
