For those of you who have to work Thanksgiving Day/Night, do you get anything from your admin or from your respective police/fire departments such as food etc...? Just curious because our departments usually keep us well fed during the holidays.:)
I get to work the only thing I get is double time. Luckily though I work nights so I will be able to stuff my face with all the food I want before going to work.

HA HA, I get it off, I get if off...
Nope just normal holiday pay for the people that work it...we usually have a pot-luck, and we have some very good cooks so it's kinda fun...but nope not me, did i mention i get it off! woo hoo!
No food no thing except an extra 8 hours straight pay. Like it is said in the military .... holiday routine = Holiday for some Routine for others.

Well If i was working it I'd get double time and a half. Not working it I get just straight 8 hrs holiday pay, plus I don't WORK IT!!! That's same with X-mas and New Years and all the others I do unfortunately have to work this year. But double time and a half on graves, on x-mas with no calls coming in, is fine by me...

Ok, just making sure. You had me worried... Thought you only got straight time if you worked it.
