View Full Version : Have u been on an airplane lately??
Just in case you haven’t flown lately, be prepared if you fly over the holidays. They now check everything in your “carry-on” luggage!! They went through my shaving kit and confiscated a pair of 2-inch tweezers because they were pointed on the end. Go figure??? You may want to carry a self-addressed/stamped envelope for any items they don’t allow so you can mail them home to yourself.

LOL Delc,
That is typical Federal Government for ya, They can't do anything with moderation. When something goes wrong they go to the opposite far end of the spectrum to fix the problem. I am surprised they haven't contracted with a company that makes straight jackets yet to issue to everyone on planes.
Not to say that airport security was pitiful to say the least but the federal government needs to learn what moderation is.

I've also had some pretty mindless things confiscated. I fly about every week and the lines are really starting to kill me, thank God I can drive to my parents for Turkey day. Have a good turkey day all, be safe on the roads, and eat like there's no tomorrow.
SeaTac (Seattle) has started sending anyone with NO carry-on baggage (including briefcases, purses, just about anything) to go to the front of the line. I have to fly back and forth to CA in one day in another week or so, and will probably just skip carrying anything all together to avoid the fiasco.
I know many people are sending their luggage via ups. This seems to cut down on the time spent waiting on lines. Seems like a good idea, i'm gonna give it atry next time I fly. To all of you who are flying for the holiday, be safe, and have a happy holiday!

Just a little piece of info...do not pack any aerosol cans (anything flammable)if you send your luggage 1, 2, or 3 Day Air...they are not allowed allowed on our planes..If you send it ground, no problem.
