Washington Co. (WI) Sheriff's Dept.

Does anyone have any info on Washington Co.? i've heard good and some bad things about the department, and I know that they don't pay all that well. The pay isn't really that important to me, I just love this area around here, and know the territory very well. I believe they start out at about 28k, but they are currently in negotiations for a 6% wage increase. Any info. on them would be great

Or any info on LaCrosse Co. Sheriff's Dept. would be great too. Both Counties' websites don't have ne info on the sheriff's dept. damn them!
