I've got a Liberty safe and love it. They have a variety of sizes and levels of protection. I would recommend something that protects against theft and fire. Additionally, If you have the option for an electronic lock then get it. I am familiar with standard dials used in the governmnet and on these safes but some have difficulty opening them consistently. It is easy to get used to after awhile. Unfortunately, you are unable to change the combo on the commercial dials as you can on the government ones. Being able to set your own combo makes remembering easier and opening faster and more convienent. Also, as a friend of mine went through a divorce, he wished he could have changed the combination. I also found that with the fire protection you can safeguard documents and jewelry as well. That sometimes makes it easier to justify to your wife if you have one. Last but not least, it keeps everything away from small hands when you aren't there to supervise. Don't get one so large and heavy that you can't move it unless you plan on never moving. Most can be bolted down from the inside.

Yeah I just got a browning safe, it holds ten guns, but I can get more in there, I will keep my good guns in there and buy a keeper one for the others, The browning is all padded and has a bunch of wood selves. And it says it is fire proof for a half hour I think.
