The University of Illinois Press has just published the history of
ATF, told through cases that contributed to this bureau's
evolution from the stillbusters of yesteryear to the agents of
today enforcing the federal firearms and explosives laws
against gunmen and gunrunners, organized crime and domestic
terrorists, arsonists and bombers.
