Hey! I just received my acceptance letter to enter the Pat Thomas LE academy in January. I will be attending the night academy which runs from Jan-Aug. Does anyone ave any idea how the night academy differs from the day academy in terms of PT and all

I've been in a PT academy the last 4-5 months. As far as physical training goes, you have the exact same standards that the full time people have. We work out one night a week for about 2 hours....but you are also expected to do workouts on your own. We keep a log sheet about what other workout times we have, and turn it into the instructor.

I really haven't been going strong....for one because it's been so damn cold, and two because I still have 6 months to go, and I will work harder when I can see the end a little more clear.

The Part time academy for me has been one big balancing act with my time. 40 hours + per week at work, 20 hours a week at the academy, and I'm supposedly needing to find time to study, spend time with the wife, relax, and try not to get burned out.

Congrats to you, and good luck.

Depending on how much time you guys spend on PT, the majority of it will be on your own. You'll still have to meet the same standards as the full-time academy so you'll have to motivate yourself a little bit more.
I also attended a part-time academy. The hardest part I found was digging up all the materials from a class you took eight months ago and preparing yourself for the certification test.
Good luck!
