Well, believe it or not, I am getting hired by a police department. Its wierd to think that 4 months ago I was going to quit the process all together. Glad I gave a little more effort and decided to try one more time. The chief told me they are just waiting for my bloodwork to come back for chloresterol and the hiv. But he said be ready to go to the academy because i'm already signed up for the jan 6 class. Thanks for everyones help. I thought I would never post in this forum. Ill keep you all updated.

Let me tell you what a bummer yesterday was. ?The chief called me up and wanted to give me a final offer. so i go there and meet with him, hes going over the packet with all my medical stuff in it and goes, I'm sorry, but i cant give you a final offer. I'm thinking, aahhh crap what now. He told me thta the damn doctor forgot to put the results of my EKG in the packet. he signed the paper but didn't put the actual printout in. So, guess I get to go back another time and get it, Oh well.

Chief called me at 7 yesterday morning. I was groggy as hell till I knew it was him. he asked me if I still wanted the job. Once I picked myself up off the floor I said I of course. I don' tthink it has sunk in yet that i'm finally where I want to be. The hiring process was a bitch but i would do it again in a heart beat. Someone said it best on another thread. When your going through the process your thinking to yourself," i can't wait till I'm the police." Now that I'm actuall the police Im thinking to myself, "Oh shit, I really am the police." I ship off to the academy at the state patrol headquartes on Jan 6, Ill keep you all informed if you want.
