Boring Assignments\Jobs

First, let me take this time to wish everyone a happy hollidays. I hope all of you got your shopping done early, so you are not having to brave the huge crowds at the malls. I for one have been spending plenty of time working because of the holliday. The boss just made parking lot security an option for overtime so I jumped on it for some exta money. The draw back though was it is a stationary position. I did get a little cart with a heater to warm my hands. The night was kinda nasty and cold though. The bordem really sets in when your watching the same vehicles for hours on end. I just was wondering what are all of your most boring assignments or jobs?

From a dispatch perspective I can say that most of the time if you guys/gals are bored so are we. However, at my agency each dispatcher has a couple "support assignments" to do during slow periods. One of my MANY support jobs is to enter those blasted warning tickets that the 3 agencies we dispatch for are very good at writing mass quantities of. So sitting there entering ticket after ticket, etc, etc... get's really boring. That's just one of many... But oh well... One of the neat things is that when something big does happen, and we start getting mass calls on 911, it's kinda funny picturing the officers driving around thinking how boring it is when we are getting hammered...but just a few seconds from now they'll know too. ;)
