Got a call at 8:00 a.m. from V. Danvers...said she had an early Christmas present...duty station: Dallas, TX...report Jan 22! I just cleared everything Dec 5, 01...look's like my redneck, tattooed, gung-ho self will be down in Jaaawjaa with some of my Yankee buddies...God truly blessed me on this one...my girl is from Dallas and I'll still be close to my sweet Cajun country...God Bless gents and look forward to hearing from who'll be there with me.

I think Mac hit on this point a few days ago and it bears repeating...I believe when you receive your tentative offer, they already have a duty station for you...looks to me like all you Yankees have been getting Yankee duty stations and all of us hard luck Rebels have been getting Dixie wide duty stations. But in the end...it's what God has for us all...so keep it in His hands...you've cleared everything and that means you're on 'the list'.

2nd:
I'm starting at GS-7...what will my pay rate be starting at FLETC? I know I'll be biting the bullet for some time, and how soon to we progress to GS-9, 11? Mac, I know you know...so roll out some of that Jaawjaa wisdom....Will will be 5 days or 6 days a week bums...and will I be arrested by the Georgia Hwy Patrol for bringing educational materials into the state?

Congratulations, I am also in that class. It officially begins Jan 24. The CI class lasts til March 26 and than the CBES class starts right after until May 10. So it is definetely 6 days a week. The class is made up of 48 Customs potentials. For all you other guys out there I know there are several other classes in fy 02 so sit tight and at least 1 other class will be made up of all customs also. later

K-9 you must have a hell of a hook inside Customs to get Charlotte. I live less than 15 min from there and I was trying to politic myself for Charlotte I hear there a good group of guys there. Work a lot of drug cases.....
