FBI-Got the call [Archive]

Folks,

Got the call this morning from my applicant co-ordinator that I am officially on for the Jan 14th class for the FBI.

For those of you who have passed phase II and are also waiting, I was told that you/we should be at Quantico by April.

Target is for 966 agent hires this year. They will doing three Phase I's per week (used to be one per week).

My timeline and background for those interested:

Timeline:
Phase I April 2000
Phase II Jan 2001
PT/Polygraph April 2001
BI initiated April 2001
Medical Oct 2001
Final BI interview (current work place) Dec 2001

Background:
B.S in chemistry
3 years Air Force officer
M.S. Organic Chemistry
7 years work experience in Pharmaceuticals
Instrument rated commercial pilot.

Needless to say I'm on a roll right now!

Hopefully they need a few more pilots. I am a CFI with Commercial multi and have been a PD officer for 4 years. I started the process only a month ago.

Congrats!!!

Hearing about this sure beats the hell out of constantly over-analyzing the federal budget and appropriations bill progress! April sounds good too! I'll take that, and if anyone out there has a magic potion to shave a couple of months off my knee rehab I'll go sooner!

Thanks for all the kind comments. I've already had my in-laws tell me that they will be paying my salary, you work for me etc--I'm sure it's a line that will get old, real quick.
