I've had experience with both Botach Tactical and Galls.
A good thing about Botach is that they have government prices for you as a personal buyer if you are, in fact, a government employee. Their G prices are usually very competitive, and they seem to have a decent selection of gear that you'd want. But it is an independant shopping experience, as I don't feel their personnel are really qualified to answer specific questions about products. You should know exactly what you are looking for.
However; I only order from Botach if my order isn't time-sensitive or urgent. If I have 3-4 weeks to work with, I'll use them. They don't always confirm your orders, or give tentative delivery timeframes. You may elect to throw in some extra $$ to speed up shipping, but it means nothing until they actually get around to filling your order. Their customer service is terrible. I've never received any replies to emails with questions about my orders. I once made an order for 2 holsters and a pair of Royal Robbins pants. 2 1/2 weeks later, I received an emailed packing slip telling me that the holsters were not in stock, and that my pants had not yet shipped. Two weeks after that, I received the pants. This has happened to me on other occasions with particular colors or sizes of items.
Galls, while not as competitive in pricing, has very good customer service. I once made a duplicate order when I pressed the "Submit Order" button too many times. I emailed Galls to try to cancel the second order, and received an automatic message saying they caught the duplicate order and cancelled it for me. They can also get the items to you YESTERDAY, if you're willing to shell out the money.
As far as any one place to purchase gear, I think I can speak for most of us in saying that it really depends on what gear you want, and when you need it. I buy my ammo from one place, certain holsters from another, flashlights from yet another, and so on, and so on... If I'm pressed for time, I go to a bigger company like Galls or Code4. If I'm not, I save some bucks and go somewhere else. If you post about a specific product, you'll get plenty of advice.
Hope this helps. Good Luck.

I have placed two orders with Botach in the last six months. I have placed a dozen or so orders from Galls in the past several years.
I have found Botach to ship fast and inexpensively. Their site is much, much easier to navigate than Galls. Even though I am on a cable modem, the Galls site loads as slow as molassass
Galls has a good customer service policy, but I think their shipping cost policy is ludicrious. They charge more for expensive items regardless of weight. I wouldn't hesitate to order from Galls, but look for a particular item at Botach first.
Galls has a good catalog... so you know what to buy somewhere else cheaper.

I have used Botach for both pairs of boots I have ordered (GSG-9 and Danner Acadia). I have a problem buying a pair of boots from Galls when they are charging $219.00 before shipping for the Acadias when I go to Botach Tactical online and I can get them for $169.00 total with ground shipping.
It took me about a week and a half to get my boots and a week after I got them I recieved a phone call from Botach asking me how I liked them.
I have no complaints with Botach. I plan on buying my flashlights for the academy from them also.
Stay safe you all,
James
