[b]Hello to everybody!
I'm a Deputy Sheriff in deep South Texas. It's about a 4 1/2 hour drive south of San Antonio, right at the rivers (Rio Grande) edge. After four years on patrol, I switched to Warrant/Extradition Officer. Have been knocking on doors and traveling the country for three years now. Check out this image, it's where I work.

When back in Minnesota, I've been able to visit many family and friends, even if it is for 1/2 a day. As far as other states and towns, I usually look them up on the Internet. Find the local points of interest or hot spots, download a map, and enjoy while I'm there.
And yes, I do fly armed. It's a lot of paperwork, but it's necessary. I flew out to Dulles and Logan airports after the attacks. Seemed as though the flight crew was happy to have me on board.
