According to the local media a deputy with the Muskingum county sheriffs department was killed tonight at approx. 18:00 hrs.
8 year veteran Deputy Robert Tanner was on a traffic stop
and flagged down by someone and some time after that was shot by unknown assaliants. Deputy Tanner will be sadily missed by the community
