On Wednesday, January 30, 2002, at approximately 2134 hours, Officer Dennis McNamara of the Upper Darby Township Police Department in Delaware County, Pennsylvania, was shot and killed in the line of duty.
Officer McNamara was an 8 year veteran of the department, and 43 years old. He is survived by his wife and two children.
Initially Officer McNamara's killer had escaped, but was captured at approximately 0440 hours.

This is the only information they have released so far. I also know that the killer is reported to be a member of a motorcycle outlaw gang, and has threatened to kill any officer who attempts to arrest him. No further information surrounding the shooting has been released.
