Officer Jack Cooper was killed in the line of duty 2-1-2. He responded with another officer to a call where the suspect was barricaded in a restroom with a knife. When they arrived they found the suspect in a common room stating that his family had been killed by vampires. Suspect refused to leave when asked by officers. He was pepper sprayed with no effect. Officers and suspect struggled where suspect took possession of Officer Coopers service weapon, fired one shot, and struck Officer Cooper behind the ear. Other officer shot suspect in chest twice, of which he later died from. The knife and a .357 were found on scene. Officer cooper was a 11 year veteran with no wife or children.
