    On line College Degree Programs

I did search this out on the forums and the last post was back in 2010.

I am hoping someone can narrow my search down (by personal recommendation) for a on line degree program (Bachelors). I am completing my Associates with Univ of Pheonix and find them to be accomadating but the degree program is expensive. Thankfully my 911 GI bill will cover most of it but they (UoP) are limited on degree programs on line.

I am undecided on the exact program but I am leaning towards a management focus.

Any assistance would be appreciated ... a google search brings up 24,789,008 web sites ...

My advice is to find a brick and mortar school near you, if possible, that also has an online program and go that route. That gives you the ability to get your degree online, but also more flexibility with respect to taking traditional classes if you decide to (or need to because a course you need isn't offered online in a particular semester). Plus you can take advantage of resources like job fairs and career counseling that are tougher in a purely distance learning format.

My daughter just finished her CJ degree at University of Phoenix. Being employed FT and a single Mom for 3 kids, she needed the flexibility the school afforded her. She's very pleased with the education she received. I see many grads from there, including their MBA program.

It's not cheap, but may afford you the flexibility you seek.

I second nsedet's posting. I completed my undergrad through UMUC since they had the military contract at that time overseas and classes were half and half. I completed my MBA with TWU since it was half on-line and half face-to-face. While you can go strictly online, having a chance to interact with your fellow classmates and professors is so beneficial in the long run. Plus it increases your networking opportunities. Nail down your major first as well. Some programs are better than others for specific courses of study. Either way, with the Post 911 GI Bill, you can't go wrong.
