ICE Criminal Research Specialist
Greetings,
This is my first post. However, I have been lurking for a while.
I have received a TO for a CRS position with ICE OI. Can anyone provide some insight on this position. I have the general understanding from my interview, but I long for more. I can find plenty on the same position with USSS, but nothing for ICE.
Has anyone else received offers?
Thanks,
highlander96

I applied for the Intel Research Spec w/ ICE and rec'd notification that I was eligible for various grades. I called ICE (it took about 4 people who had no idea to finally contact someone to find out that there were no openings there) They kept saying to ck the internet but it was for a job already posted on the internet w/ openings in various locations.
Did you find ICE was well organized during the process? Also, was this for a job posted in 12/2007?text in a signature must be limited to 3-lines, (including blank lines).

ICE Process
Trail,
The announcement that I posted under was 8/07. I was referred in September 07 for two offices at multiple grades, GS 7,9,11. I then received a Disposition Notice on 10/30/07 that the cert was unused.
Jump forward to the third week in November.... I got a call from one of the offices asking if I was interested. I was then set up for a interview during the first week of December. During the Christmas holiday I was contacted by the person I interviewed with and was told that "HR would be reaching out to me". I didn't receive my TO until the first week in February. I think that the hold up was budget issues. The people that I have dealt with in Dallas were top notch.
My BI was sent to the Security Office on 2/25/08 and they told me that it should take 6-8 weeks before they have an EOD date for me.
Hope this helps. Remember, I already work for the "G", just a different agency. It is all the same.

Crs
I am applying to the ICE-Boston office for a CRS position. Probably a shot in the dark! I currently work LE for the "G" but have limited intel experience. I have applied to positions of this nature with other agencies but instead I should have tried to pound sand! Any idea of the chances of a patrol officer even coming under consideration for one of these jobs?
