CBP take home vehicles?
Just curious, I have seen some marked CBP cruisers at private residences, are these take home vehicles and/or only for higher ranking officers?
These were down in south Florida.

I will have to look more closely next time but I don't recall seeing K-9 on the vehicles anywhere. They were the typical white Crown Vic.'s with on top and the logo etc on the sides of the vehicle. They looked pretty new or very clean at least.

They are probably CBP Border Patrol.

Those would be CBP K-9 units, the newer cars are in fact crown vics. The BP units around here are white/green and say "Border Patrol."

Thanks.
Satpak I did not see your earlier post for "repeating again..." only a comment to a "more than likely K-9" by spclagnt, so it did not sound like a "for sure".

they are K-9 units. I am not going to get into how BP marked units are marked with unit numbers, etc, that is op-sec stuff and LOTS of non-friendly viewers would love to figure that out.

CBP Cars
I know the FPS guys drive cars that say ICE/Police with Homeland Security markings all over it. They are blue and white Crown Vics, Impalas and such. They do take them home.

Most likely a K9 vehicle. Not all their crown-vics have K9 stickers on them. The back windows have bars on them due to the cage in the back. Thats the way to tell.

CBP K9 also have unmarked units as well.
