Mailed mine standard mail the Monday after the announcement opened. Had an email from the area recruiter that Thursday with a study guide. The next Friday (6th) I received an email to take the basic qualification test online. Friday after that (13th) I received an email to take the aptitude battery online.

I may be missing it on the dea website, but what is the minimum score to pass the PTT? I searched through the PTTBooklet.pdf but did not find it. I see the scoring tables, but I see no minimum score.

12 was the minimum at Quantico, with at least 1 per event.Your recruiters may play games to see higher scores. ASK!

DM, I applied on day one of the jobs announcement for DEA. Since then, I have completed and passed all the online questionnaires and assessments. Last week, I received an email to RSVP for a Orientation in my city. I immediately called in my RSVP. What I would like to know is what is the next step after the orientation? Are the steps in the process listed in the order as they are seen on the DEA website? I have posted the link for you.
DEA
Thanks in advance for your assistance.

Just like they're laid out in the bulleted points. If they want to interview you (assuming you've got the basics) you'll get the written assessment and panel. Some divisions do them on different days, others do them both the same day. If you clear that, you'll wait for what seems forever, but eventually you'll get a Conditional Offer of Employment.
Don't get excited about it. It's something the lawyers thought up to put you into the applicant category and allow DEA to poke, prod, poly and BI you, making it all nice and legal. You can get DQ'd anywhere along the way.
Count on the process taking forever. This application process has nothing to do with "fast track" promises. It is tedious and at times maddening.
Again, keep a copy of everything and whoever you talk to, get their name and direct contact number. Return receipt or FedEx is your friend.
They are damn serious about PT and PT protocol. Nothing makes you madder than doing pushups and the monitor keeps saying "one" 4-5 times! Do the protocols right and you won't get surprised at Quantico.
Any process questions, PM me. Remember, no poly discussions on this Board! Big no-no!“In order to attain the impossible, one must attempt the absurd.” — Miguel de Cervantes

About a week ago a received an email for the online assessment. The assessment was basic qualification questions for GS 7 and GS 9 grades. I completed the assessment and today I received another email for another online assessment. Does anyone know if this assessment is an actual test or background questions about your skills and abilities? I am away on business and could answer background questions now but I would like to wait until I get back home to take an actual exam.

Call your recruiter and make sure it's not a double. And if not, when is completion expected.

It's not a double. I had the same thing happen and it's a different set of assessments the second time.

Without getting into too much detail on what was contained, I didn't feel like it was something that studying would help you with. The questions they ask about you and your history you should already know, and the questions about how you would react to certain situations depend on your personality and not a study guide.
I say go ahead and take the assessments. Unlike the FBI Phase I test, though, you don't find out immediately if you passed or failed.

Should I be concerned that I haven't heard anything when they received my application on the 12th? I don't want to call and bother them if they're just working through the applications, but I also don't want to get lost in the mix, either.
Thanks in advance!

Teal,
I am sort of in the same position. They received my paperwork on Tuesday the 12th, the following Monday I called left a voicemail and did not receive a call back. I called again Friday 5 days later, left another voicemail with the recruiting agent, waited through last leek week and have not received any correspondence up through present day. So, I figure I will try making contact again on Monday and hope for the best.

Thanks for the info! I thought about calling last week based upon what I've been reading here, but I certainly did not want to seem impatient considering it's only been two weeks since the application period closed.
John, best of luck with getting a hold of someone! I'm probably going to wait until the end of the week before I call, but hopefully neither of us got lost in the mix.
